Hi Harsh, BB, and Nikhil,

I have just attempted an RC quiz that included three passages, and I have a few doubts:

1. As per the three passages, the default time was 18 minutes (6 minutes per passage).
2. During the first passage, 6 minutes were automatically added. I’m not sure why this happened.
3. In the second passage (8 questions), 10 minutes were automatically added, and there were even spoilers (the correct answers seemed to be present within the questions themselves).
4. In the third passage, again, 6 minutes were added.
5. The passages were from RC Butler 2019 and 2022. Can we use these for practice?
6. I selected the adaptive mode, but I’m not sure whether it worked or not.
I think @bb can comment more accurately on this, but as far as I know, many practice questions in Verbal RC don’t always come in sets of exactly three. So when the quiz starts, the system automatically calculates the time based on the number of questions in a passage and adjusts the timing accordingly.

Regarding the spoilers, many of these questions are added by users. Moderators try their best to clean them up, but a few occasionally slip through. Unfortunately, you seem to have come across one of those cases. If you encounter something like this again, please feel free to flag it to us and we’ll get it corrected.

And yes, Butler questions are a good source of practice and are created by moderators.

Hi @142472822915076
Looking for a revert from your end.

There are 8 points in total - not sure why it shows 6 points on WhatsApp and 8 on Web- Chat
Sorry, I didn’t fully follow your question about points. Could you clarify it again?

Yes I am referring to the rewards only. I think they are different than the points. Right ?

And is there a way we can see points as well? Because we don't get any notifications when they credit.

And we can only redeem rewards I suppose ? Points are just for the leader board movement right and the perks that may follow along.
@bb This got missed. If you can look at it at your convenience.

What do you mean WhatsApp showing 6 points? Can you drop screenshots for 8 and 6? You can DM me if easier.

Yes. Leaderboard and Rewards are entirely separate.

Which points do you want to track? Or you don’t get notifications for?

Noted. If you’re targeting the 95th percentile, try aiming for above 70% accuracy on 705–805 level questions. Considering you are scoring 80-90% accuracy on the level below.

I noticed that experts global practice tests' 12 month plan gives u access to gmat club tests too.. does anyone know if this access includes sectional tests too? Or if it is restricted to only full tests?
As per the new update, users can convert the remaining question bank between sectional and full tests, so this shouldn’t be a restriction going forward.

“Hi, I want to understand how GMAT Club Quiz scores map to actual GMAT scores. Specifically, in Quant, how well do the quiz scores or question difficulty levels reflect the real GMAT test scoring?”
Hi, I don’t believe scores are generated through the Quiz. However, if this is a sectional/full test, we are rolling out an updated algorithm (currently under testing) that should align the scoring much more closely with the original GMAT algorithm.

This should ideally stack, but feel free to correct me if I’m wrong, @bb

Hi,

I recently joined the group after seeing the PM. However, I’ve already subscribed to GMAT Quiz.
Will I still be eligible to use the free two-week GMAT Quiz access after my current subscription ends?

Thanks!

Any tips for maintaining consistency in performance/accuracy in Hard difficulty?
Started with easy ones to get good with application of the concepts and focused on accuracy rather than timing in the beginning, and then moved to internalizing the process with medium difficulty questions, eventually time taken to solve came down, accuracy increased. However I plateaued after getting to Hard difficulty. Targeting 80% accuracy on 655-705, some days i reached 70% or 80% but many days i stay stuck on 60-65%, even 50% on a bad day. Reviewing and analysing is being done after every quiz or attempt but maintaining consistency after reaching 70-80% or close to it is feeling kinda challenging. This is me talking about just doing CRs or RCs. Moving onto sectionals at this stage without stabilising the performance seems hasty and just doing RC or CR quizzes for a long time feels like being stuck. Doing too many questions would force fatigue and exhaust the GMAT material faster, and doing too less and moving on feels like it's not enough and also rushed.
1. How do I stabilize Hard CR/RC accuracy at 70-80% before moving to sectionals?
2. How do I know when I'm ready to make that transition? (My thought was getting the targeted accuracy 2-3 times in a row)

Hi Dev, well it is definitely a hard one. And its not hard because of the logic the argument presents but the choices are framed with the terms that are techincal in CR.

Do check this explanation pretzels-can-cause-cavities-interestingly-the-longer-that-a-pretzel-20427.html?style=12#p1209964

Well you have definitely followed all the steps that anyone can advise for improving verbal, and the question about Stability is the real one that every test takers I guess ask, even I do. As you have mentioned you were getting 65-70% and thats fine in my opinion because the questions you are attempting they may not be official ones. Since you mentioned you have done analysis after every quiz, then I am guessing you may have recognised why these errors are happening. Try to fix those

Also In my opinion you should give atleast 2 sectionals to check what is the pattern of making an error.
