Hi All,

I'm looking for some advice on how and when I should take my 1st GMAT Attempt, I have been preparing for about 6 months now and have got the desired score in both the Official Mocks I gave (Test 1 and Test 5) back in September. I wanted to book the test in Early October but had to delay my plan due to the lack of a valid passport (Got expired in late 2019), now the earliest renewal date which I'm getting is on 18th Nov which seems a bit too far off and I'm afraid that I might lose my momentum. Also, my gmatclub tests would expire on 5th Nov so I wouldn't have much to do before the actual test

I know that Indian candidates can take GMAT Online using Aadhar Card which I do possess, the only worry I have is the GMAT Online environment and the overall bad reviews I've seen/heard for this format.

Is the online experience really so bad that I'm better off waiting a month for the In-Person Test? If yes, then how do I utilize my time efficiently during this period?

I agree with Marty. I also had bad experience with GMAT Online as the exam got interrupted during the verbal section and 2-3 mins time lost, then I filed complaint to GMAC who gave me coupon code to be used for another GMAT Online exam that could be taken anytime within next 2 months. I then reappeared with that coupon code- the Verbal section again got interrupted but there was no time lost- so that attempt was fine and valid.

Also, keep in mind that few b-schools such as IIMs have ceased to accept GMAT Online scores, so we only have test center route for such schools.

In case you want additional access to GMAT Club Tests, would suggest you to register for MBA Spotlight and try your luck to win those ;)

Here's a 6-hour student I had who did the exam Online both times (680 - 740). They write a bit about their experience with the Online and mention some tips.

Where I can give an online test for practice? Thanks in advance.
Hi Lindsay,

There are multiple sources for giving online test for practice. Best source is GMAT Official mocks. Other sources include GMAT Club Tests, Manhattan Prep mocks, Expert Global mocks, e-gmat Sigma X mocks etc.
