Question

Dear concern,

I scored 680 ( Q49 , V 34 ) , in GMAT

I am a hardcore sales and marketing professional with over 7 years experience (No international experience ) ( Individual Contribution ), what are my chances of securing a management seat at the top IIMs ,

Please share your valuable opinion

hi,

Very difficult to comment only on the basis of GMAT score. I have helped a candidate with gmat score of 660 to secure a seat at A. A lot depends on the profile & interview as well. But yes, if you have made your mind to get a seat this year, there is no harm in trying to improve your score. ( more the merrier)

Hi,

I suppose you are talking about the 1 year program at IIM A/B/C.
I applied last year and I know quite a few people with the same score as yours who have made it to the 1 yr MBA at IIMs and ISB. I would strongly recommend you to furnish a strong essay. If other components of your profile are well balanced you stand a good chance. If you like I can review your detailed profile. I am a student of the Co22' batch of ISB

Your profile looks decent. However, I felt that it lacked a bit on the extracurricular front. If you can manage...try to give GMAT again. If not try with this score...u might have a chance at the IIMs 1 yr program. Keep at least 1.5months aside for the essay

For co curriculars , i have many regional participation certificates of school level .

Plus in college i have been a part of tree plantation drive and won a inter branch dance competition too….
