Jack Ma, the founder of Alibaba, applied to Havard 10 times. Fortunately, he didn't get in.

Any guess - what was his GMAT Score?

Dear ajit_223,

Yes, Jack Ma clearly is an example of an exceptionally talented individual whose particular skill set was not measured well by ordinary academic means. Here's a great story about him:
How Jack Ma Went From Being A Poor School Teacher To Turning Alibaba Into A $160 Billion Behemoth

@ajit-223- you have a great hook in the title. I could not help but notice it.

It would be good to guess Ma's score in GMAT. And delve into his quant and verbal breakdown and probably think about sub-sectional abilities. Too bad, the GMAT ESR wasn't available then. So we would have to make educated guesses. And maybe even hit the request expert reply to reach to a solution. However, in his public speeches Ma mentions about applying to Harvard. While that could clearly suggest HBS, as it is one of the schools but given Ma's track record of applying across board to jobs from government, teaching and even as waiter, I would not bet that the Harvard he mentioned is HBS.

@mickmcgarry- great article, thanks for sharing.
