I was on the same boat as you are. You don't need any books anymore given that you scored V33. I improved from V31 to V38 by practicing more of 600-700 questions. I was scoring 700-760 in the mocks but scored only 640 and 660 in the real exam. The problem was I focused more on 700 level questions which don't help much in cementing the concepts. On the other hand, 600-700 level questions would help you cement those concepts and you will do much better. You can't afford to get 600-700 questions incorrect either.

Hi everyone,

I need your suggestions for improving my verbal score.

I gave my GMAT on 31st Oct and scored 670. (V33, Q49, IR - 6)

My target score is 720+. Please help me with the same!

For my last attempt, I studied the whole OG, Manhattan SC, and appeared for 5 mocks. I used to score 700-710 in the last mocks that I gave.
Please suggest any online courses that I can buy. ( budget-friendly)
My next GMAT is scheduled for 08th Dec. 2020.

Another thing, I am from India and am planning to give CAT as well. I am worried if I will able to manage both. What are your thoughts?

Thanks!!

Hey,

I once struggled with verbal. I was in a misconception that learning concepts would help but I later realized that I need to use the right strategies to solve verbal questions. I scored a 570 in my first attempt with a verbal score of 26. After working on my methodology, I improved my score to 720 with a 38 on Verbal.

So, I suggest you to work on your methodology. Understand what is actually tested using SC, CR and RC questions because this will really help you approach them in the right way. Choose the right resource which helps you learn this methodology. I personally used GMATWhiz online course and found it very helpful.

In fact, I have made a couple of debriefs of all the things that helped me improve my score. You might find them helpful.
