Just curious to know whether anyone has a list of "Good to know" words for the GMAT?
At times I find words in the RC which seem alien, and generally there is a question which tests the understanding that specific word. How to deal with such situations?

You can usually figure out the meaning of certain words in the GMAT by their context. The RC/CR questions sometimes contain "difficult" words to make it seem as though the text is harder than it really is.
If this really is an obstacle for you, you can study GRE word lists (the GRE actually tests your vocabulary). To save time, you could just study prefixes and roots.
If I were you though, I'd rather spend my time getting acquainted with logic/reasoning/grammar. A great vocab's great but useless if you can't reason with it.

Appreciate the reply, I am happy to inform you that we are thinking in the same direction.
I am working mainly on the reasoning/logic/grammar part, just to make sure I am not missing out on anything I had asked this question.
