Hi
nagi1337,
Broadly speaking, schools do not have a preference between the GMAT and GRE, and the GRE has become more common over the past few years.
Personal MBA Coach typically advises folks to see which test comes more naturally to you. If quant is a strength the GMAT may be your friend while those stronger in verbal tend to prefer the GRE.
While we are still waiting on the class of 2023 profile statistics from most of your target schools, Wharton's latest stats have been released. Here, the average GRE was 324 (162 Q / 162 V) so your score should situate you well. Of course, you can refer back to past class profiles, though the numbers were generally a bit lower for the class of 2022. If you do want to aim for a 330, this should give you a competitive edge.
Personal MBA Coach suggests applying to 5 to 8 schools to maximize your chances of success, so you may want to add a few more programs to your list. If your goal is to go into VC, you are going to need a broad set of finance and valuation skills, so I would focus on schools with strong finance programs. CBS, Booth, NYU Stern and UCLA Anderson are a few additional schools that come to mind here.
Are you applying in round 1? If so, it is time to perfect the other components of your applications. If you are looking for

We work with a lot of folks with finance backgrounds and would be happy to provide guidance here.

Hello.
I need some guidance regarding GRE and GMAT.
I have a 326 in gre at the mkment (V 162, Q164)- Will give again to try and get 330+. I think a very good score on GRE is possible for me (more so than on the GMAT) since I am already familiar with it. Would it be wise to apply with the GRE? My quant background is pretty heavy. I have a masters in finance and worked as an investment analyst so fairly comfortable with number crunching and quant components, so was thinking GRE is a good option.
Giving some context of my profile below. Also would appreciate feedback if my profile seems good enough for my target schools.
