With a 21 in Verbal, I'd recommend that you start by reviewing the basics. Get familiar with the basic strategies for the different problem types, the fundamental grammar rules, etc. A good book to start with is MPrep's Foundations of GMAT Verbal - that's where I'd tell you to go first. :)

Hi VidyaSagar8055,

The Q50 shows that you are clearly a strong Quant thinker, but you will still want to include some general Quant practice during your studies (and not focus solely on your Verbal improvement). Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on your timeline and your goals:

1) What is your goal score?
2) When are you planning to take the GMAT?
3) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
4) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

Hi VidyaSagar8055,

Welcome to GMATCLUB. To improve your scores in verbal, you can consider e-gmat verbal online or the e-gmat verbal live course. They are both amazing courses especially designed for non-natives. They offer almost 25% of their courses for free so you can try out their free trial to decide which one you want to go for. Plus the e-gmat Scholaranium which is included in both the courses is one of the best verbal practice tools in the market. You can easily track your progress in that you can identify your strengths and analyze and improve on your weak areas.

Further taking multiple mocks might help. Apart from the GMATPREP, Manhattan GMAT tests and Veritas Prep Tests in my experience have good verbal and Quant section and will certainly help you point out and improve your weak areas.

Further another advantage of taking many mocks is to build up your stamina. Apart from the GMATPREP tests, taking practice tests of any major GMATPREP company ought to do that.

I would also encourage you to purchase the GMATPREP QP 1 for some great additional practice. Here is a link that will help you with your decision.

Hope this helps. All the best.

Courses review section on GMAT club will help you arrive at a decision. E-gmat is good if you're a non native imo.

Hi viki8055

Your Quant score of 50 is pretty good considering the fact that you have taken it without any preparation but you need to work on your verbal section for the GMAT. I would recommend you to start with the basics of GMAT verbal. Understand the different concepts being tested on the GMAT verbal section and familiarize yourself with the different rules of grammar.

You could signup for our Free GMAT Kickstarter Course. The GMAT Kickstarter course consists of 8+ hours of GMAT Strategy, concept and application videos. This course will teach you the strategies and techniques required to tackle each of the sections on the GMAT

The CrackVerbal GMAT online course has been designed to provide you with practical strategies and a systematic plan to prepare effectively for the GMAT along with a busy schedule. We have broken down the complex GMAT verbal concepts into easy to understand lectures with real-life examples to make your entire learning process more engaging.
