If you have the OG, I would steer clear of Grockit as in many questions all they do is change slight details of a question from the OG and repost it. This will not help you improve and may give you a false sense of confidence as all you will be doing is repeating questions. Besides this expect a lot of repeats, when going through questions. Although the interactivity of the platform is nice, it tries to mask too many flaws. It has potential but not enough original gmat like questions. I would save your money.

Hope this helps

I am finding the reading comprehension on Grockit really really tough.
Infact, i haven't come across such RC's in months now.

Don't know whether i should continue solving them or just shift to OG /other RC sources!

Any suggestions?

OG is always the gold standard for Verbal... so definitely shift there... you want to give yourself time to spend with OG RC/CR so that you can tune your ear to their subtleties.

Hi nikond3300,

How are you performing on RC when you take FULL-LENGTH CATs? While it's certainly important to get in the necessary practice reps with proper materials, you still have to handle RC under a very specific set of circumstances on Test Day - and the best way to assess your overall skills is to define how you're performing under realistic, test-like conditions. It's also possible that you don't necessarily need 'lots' of RC practice; you might actually need to adjust your RC Tactics.

Thanks bb!

rich - I have a 50% accuracy on an average on RC!- The range within which the accuracy shuttles is also quite large (+-15%).
I need a system to attack RC.

Hi nikond3300,

Before we go into more specifics about RC, I'd like to know more about your overall studies so far and your timeline/goals:

1) How long have you studied?
2) What materials have you used?
3) How have you scored on each of your practice CATs (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores)?

4) What is your goal score?
5) When are you planning to take the GMAT?

Hi Rich
1) Have been studying for 2 months now- In fact i have been studying for gmat for 3 years now ( off course in bits and pieces ) . However, never really got time from work to keep the momentum required for giving the gmat. However , this time i intend to lock everything down and give the gmat in the first week of may.
I am done studying the concepts in quant and verbal.
2) I have been giving tests on magoosh - so their score is not really accurate as they convert your accuracy into the relevant percentile and give a score .
3) However , what i do know is that my accuracy in quant is about 70% - if i reduce the silly mistakes can bring it up to 80% ( about 30/37 right questions) . Verbal accuracy is kinda stagnant for quite sometime -i get about 25/41 right in verbal.
SC has a constant accuracy - 75% CR-65-70% . What bogs me down is RC. My aim is to get 30 right answers/41 in verbal. I think if i manage that i can easily reach a V40+.
4) My target score is 720+.
5) Materials used - egmat for SC +CR + RC ( though haven't stuck to their RC strategy) + Magoosh for verbal practice and studying quant.

Hi nikond3300,

Have you taken any FULL-LENGTH CATs (with the Essay and IR sections) during your studies? If you have, then can you list them out - including the overall score and Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for each CAT.
