so since Haas has 4 rounds instead of 3 like other schools, applying in the 3rd round is not necessarily a suicide like other schools...am I correct in assuming this?

Yes I would take that chance. I think that would be safe.

The 2011 employment report doesn't seem to be out yet, but do any of the current students have an estimate if the avg/median salaries went up this year?

It is very quiet here.
To be honest everytime someone posts to the thread, my heart skips a beat because I click hoping to see someone post an invite :)

Fingers crossed for next week I suppose?

This is such a load of BS...

I looked at the 2011 thread, and last year interview invites started to go out on Nov 1, and their submission date was the same as ours (10/12)...

I'm not sure whats going on, but it feels like something happened and they are way behind... then again, their decision date is a few weeks after Stanford and Booth which had the same submission date, so maybe they are just moving a bit more slowly because they can...

-Cheers

Been lurking on other sites. Looks like invites started going out this week. Anyone know the stats on what percent Haas interviews and then subsequently admits?

While I think it's definitely safer than those schools with only 3 rounds, I applied Round 3 two years ago and got dinged after interviewing, visiting, and waitlisting, and when I received my feedback, the largest point was "We just wish that you'd applied a Round earlier." They had a few more points, but the overall gist was that I was just on the cusp, and the timing had made the difference.

Needless to say, I applied Round 1 this year.

Haas’s essay question 6A
I was going over my second draft and I noticed a subtle point. The question asks you about “how have your professional experiences prepared you to achieve these goals?”
Emphasis is on the “prepared”. When I wrote my first draft I understood this questions as “How my professional experience has inspired me to achieve the goals”.

I made the changes. I wonder if anyone else noticed that or I was the only one who did not understand the question well.

That was a close call
