Does anyone know if I will get an email from Haas admissions once my recommenders submit the recommendation? Or do I have to keep checking it everyday. I am applying for R2 Dec 1st deadline.
Does anyone happen to know the e-mail address of HAS (Haas Student Amabassador)? MY PC doesn't let Outlook Wizard work~ so, I can't see what's hidden behind "Email the Haas Team".
Yes - when they submit you should receive an email with subject "Recommendation Received" from "mbaadm".
You may want to chase up on your recommenders if you don't get that email!

just to double check, Haas asks to send the Official GMAT Score Report and TOEFL score report(Intl applicants) by the point of application submission, right?
Just wondering coz some other schools are fine with Self REporting and only asks for the Official Report if one is accepted into the program.
Typically how many weeks does it take from the time your app goes under review to the time the interview invites are sent out? My app went under review nearly 4 weeks back. Should I wait for 2 more weeks and if I don't hear back call it a ding?
I'm currently in the process of relocating to the bay area with my significant other, she already has a job and I'm still looking. I'm also interested applying to the part time program but my transition won't be complete by the round 2 deadline. Do you think this seriously hurts my chances? Anyone applying from outside the area?
Does anybody know how admissions will use the optional question "Please provide the occupation of, and highest degree obtained by, your parent(s) or guardian(s)."? Seems like a lot of schools ask this question, but I'm not sure why. I'd image if you're the first in your family to go to college or your parents were Haas alums, it'd be a plus, but does anybody have any clue what role your parents' occupations play?

With other schools this is where you talk about any additional quant or verbal work that you've done that may not be apparent in your app. For Haas, they definitely encourage you to use it if you are reapplying to talk about what you've done to impose your candidacy. Otherwise, I think these questions should only be answered if you feel like you have a specific something that needs addressing.

I think the schools want to see if your parents or guardians can afford the cost.. many students face some financial difficulties during their school terms and some even drop out. The educational level or occupation of your parents or guardians tell how financially stable you are to finish the course..
So I will have to put a break on my dreams for this year. I screwed up on my GMAT big time. I scored 600 where I was supposed to score 750. But that is fine. Crying over the spilt milk is of no use at this point. I am not giving up yet. I will take this GMAT down because I know I can.
Anyway I wish all the best to whoever is applying this year.
Swiss-brazillian, 3y WE today (2y MC, 1y at a Food&Beverage as Strategic Planning), GMAT 760, Computer Engineer w/ poor academics (63rd out of 90) from top school in Brazil. Visited the campus.
