They contacted one of my recommenders last week. They have been trying to get information from my employer as well who asked them for my employee ID. The Re Vera person emailed me requesting for the same and asked me to send it soon so that she can close my file. But haven't heard from them since then.

i am very excited to come to haas admit weekend. i attended fuqua's admit weekend and had a very good time and i am trying to choose between the two. i met very nice people on my visit there and hope to meet more nice people this weekend.

Does anyone know whether Haas informs students that Re Vera has completed the Back Ground check?

Its been four weeks since I initiated the BG check but they haven't contacted my second recommender. I wonder why they don't inform students of the BG check. Other schools do check it off from the student's checklist.

Received the news yesterday night, can't wait for August! Do you guys know what happens during the Week at Haas, on the 25th of April? Is it mandatory?

Not mandatory - but so much fun. I'd highly recommend going if you can, it's a great opportunity to meet a ton of future classmates and maybe even get a jump on the housing search.

Anyone received any instructions after the call with the good news?

I got the call two weeks ago -- CGSM applicant -- and received the detailed admit email about 24hrs later. Reading this thread and it JUST HIT ME...I got into Haas. Holy hell.

Same here, thorin3. Still getting used to the idea... I received the e-mail just yesterday (assuming it's the same content, it opens with a welcome message from the Dean).
