Does anyone know how many were WL in the second round, how WL's from first round were admitted? What percent of WL's usually get in?

Your guess is as good as mine. That said, I wouldn't draw any conclusions between the WL and rounds. Haas under admits in R1 and then takes a lot of people off the WL for R2.

I am expecting R3 will be a very small round just like it is at any other BSchool

The Facebook page for EWMBA16 has 45 members and linkedin about 29. Can we assume at max 100 seats have been filled even after R2 :)

The Facebook page is only available after you've paid the deposit. So, there may be more joining the page in the near future.

Thanks packet, that makes sense. I was trying to figure out my chances after being WL for 2 rounds !

Also 100 admits total for R1/R2 sounds really really low considering most of the applications come in probably by R2. Just a wild guess here but I think the number would be closer to 200-220 with another 80-100 admits going out in R3.

I'm not going to lie, your chances are slimmer now than they were prior to R2, but there's still a chance.

The 45 people on the facebook group seems quite low to me actually. UCLA's FEMBA admit group already has 120 people on it. I doubt Haas puts a huge number of admits in R3. So, I'm not quite sure why there's a delta.

In any case, if you have an admit somewhere else, I wouldn't turn them down. There is a chance of getting off the list at Haas, but it's not for certain.

An interesting question is: why did Haas open an R4?

I believe they do that a lot of years. They're probably looking for people with specific backgrounds to fill out the class.

The more skeptical part of me thinks it might be because the new exec mba drained off a few applicants that would have applied to the EWMBA in the past.

If it is based on payment of enrollment fee, the number should reflect the actual admits in a few weeks.

Packet you are right, the chances are slimmer as compared to those of last week but still I am trying to strengthen my application for last round.
I was wondering if I can call in Haas and ask what might be holding my profile back. Although I am sure they will reply with a generic answer about competitiveness nature of the program!
I have concerns about my 660 GMAT and given the amount of time I have, it will be an uphill task to prepare again and beat that score.

Interesting theory. Any idea how competitive EMBA is wrt EWMBA? I would imagine it's less competitive just as EWMBA is w.r.t FTMBA.

Although if you were to retake the GMAT and score better it would demonstrate an incredible amount of passion for the program. Not that you should retake or anything :)

The above statement isn't accurate. Admits don't have to pay the deposit before being given access to the Facebook page.

Unless someone has given you the link, it's only available via the new admit page. I only got the email with the newadmit info after I sent in the deposit. Did they change that for R2?

I don't have any particular insight in to it, but they have certainly been pushing applications to it. Seeing as this is the first year of the program, I have to imagine the bar is going to be lower than for the EWMBA.

I thought you were going to challenge me on my assertion that EWMBA is easier to get into w.r.t FTMBA

The acceptance rate is higher. Doesn't mean that we're lower caliber applicants

That's where my problem comes with rhyme's blanket assertion.

Seems like they changed for R2. In the application decision email, there's a link to the admitted student website and within the website, there's a link to the fb page. I haven't paid yet.

EDIT: oh wait, i also haven't tried adding myself into the fb group either...
