Hi! What schools would be a safe bet to apply to at GMAT score 635?

Took another attempt - Exhausted of writing the exam, performed slowly on quant today, so had to guess last 3 -4 questions which dropped my second attempt score further to 615. In both exams scored 86% on DI and even though I thought quant/verbal were stronger, I scored around 70% in verbal both times and dropped 81% to 66% in quant today. Fault - Focused more on verbal than quant, and practiced around 250 OG Questions but still ended up scoring the same, though I felt verbal was going decent during the exam.

Though, I do think I have a shot at a better score, but I feel I'm done for this year.

Would you say applying to HSW will be too unrealistic for this year? How are re-applicants treated for these schools, if want to keep an option for applying next year open?

What schools would you suggest are doable at this score, I have a more than okayish profile in my opinion for these business schools?
Hi Shuks14,

You're in a good position with your Google experience! While your GMAT score could be higher, your profile has strong points.

A strong brand name that will significantly enhance your application. Your role as a Product Engineer and leading a small team demonstrates leadership and responsibility. Your upbringing in India and your diverse interests (sports, music, etc.) add depth to your profile.

A higher score (aim for 700+) will significantly improve your chances at the most selective schools. While not ideal, your strong work experience can compensate. Focus on highlighting your academic achievements and how you've grown since then.

In your case, you can target Schools with a focus on those that might be more forgiving of a lower GPA, given your strong work experience across the USA, UK, and Europe.

WRT HSW, if you decide to reapply next year, demonstrate significant growth since your previous application. This could include professional achievements, skill development, or personal growth. If you retake the GMAT, aim for a score in the 700+ range.

By focusing on these areas and leveraging your strengths, you can increase your chances of admission to top-tier MBA programs. Hello Shuks14

Considering your 615 GMAT, applying to HSW this year is unrealistic. Focus on improving your quant score for a retake. Consider programs like HEC, IE, Kelley, and Babson, which have average GMATs closer to your current score. If reapplying next year, aim for a 645+ (700+) GMAT and demonstrate significant professional growth. Use your strong Google experience, leadership role, and diverse interests to craft a compelling application.
