It seems like eternity since I hit submit on my HBS application, but if I remember correctly, there isn't even a question on "Why HBS?". You have the 500 character box on how an MBA will help you achieve the career goals from the drop down box, but that's it. Good luck trying to fit anything into that specific to why HBS from a visit. My point is - visiting beforehand is great, but unlike other schools, I don't think it will help your essays or content of your application very much. If you go for an interview, I would definitely suggest a class visit or something before the interview so that you have content to speak to, but this could be the day before of even the morning before the interview.

Never visited the school and received an interview. i am in the west coast though but is Harvard, they don't need proff you want to come there.

Never visited until the on campus interview. I think Stanford/HBS/Wharton don't care if you visit because they know you want to come. Other schools may add value to a visit because their yields are closer to 50%, and they don't want to just be back up plans.

Carry the two.. yes, 25 hours indeed! Is anyone else checking their online app to see if, perhaps, just maybe, there is some way to deduce the results prior to deadline?? I'm probably just going crazy at this point...

God what I would give to know the answer right this minute!

I did over 60 mock interviews for HBS round 1, and many of those kids had not visited--it is really not a factor. --good luck to all on 12/12

At what time are decisions posted tomorrow?

Well... so this is it everyone. The last night before the start of a brand new era (I'm probably being way too overdramatic but pls humor me). I'm already preparing myself for the worst and decided to do some research on famous HBS rejects... get this - warren buffett was rejected from hbs, as was dean nohria! So, if rejected, I'm in great company! Good night and good luck everyone... i truly wish you all the best and hope i'll run into all of you as classmates in allston next year. Godspeed to you all.
