Let the games begin. Good luck to all!
I have already started my first essay and have a couple different drafts that are pretty strong. I am having a tougher time with the second. If I want it to be a classic failure essay or switch it into a short-coming and here is why HBS is perfect for me right now type essay.

Count me in as well.. Want to prove I am good enough for the best, going to give this one my all..
Also well into the first essay (outline is done). Its not as strong as any of the essays I read in the book "65 successful Harvard essays" but what can you do? Gotta give it the best shot I can.
For the second essay I am going the sincere short coming and this is why Harvard is perfect for me right now approach.

Does anyone know how many recommenders Harvard requires? I have heard 3 but just wanted to confirm.
3 it is - Atleast two of whom need to be professional recommenders i.e. people whom you've worked with at your current/past companies. Third can be a professional recommender/a client/HBS alumnus etc.
Btw, excellent GMAT score progression there! Great stuff!!
A little bewildered with the reduction in international student numbers. also, asia number down by 1% or 10 students - thats quite a drop. bad news for peeps like me

Only 26 South Americans! It`s definitely going to be an uphill battle for my continent too.
As for Asia, I don`t think the 1% drop is very significant - just looks like a random wobble in the applicant numbers. I think in general these numbers only represent the split in candidates applying. I think if you apply in R1 or R2, it won`t be time for the adcom to say "We have enough people from Asia."

Looks much better and cleaner. Are the stats up there for Class of 2014 (that is us) or Class of 2013? If 2013, I suggest start showing 2014 as well. if this data is for this thread only, then we should change header to 2014 not 2013

Will be applying for the first round. Btw, for the 3rd recommender, is it possible to have someone non-related but really close to write it for you. I know 2 of them has to be professional.

When I was a 15 year old. The only foreign college I had heard of was the Harvard Business School.
When I was 18 year old. The only college I had dreamt of was Harvard Business School.
When I was 22 year old, the only college I wished to see myself at once before I died, it was Harvard Business School.
When I was 25 year old, I didn't took the exam for Indian B-Schools because all I could think of was the Harvard Business School.
When, today, I'm 27 year old and I'm going to apply to Harvard Business School, merely opening hbs.edu sends a chill down my spine. I can't fathom why.
HBS...an unfulfilled dream that will accompany me to my grave?
Count me in for R1.

Seems like most top b-schools have come out with their deadlines and essay questions! I can feel my adrenaline levels increase just sifting through the sites.
Did y'all check out the changes HBS made to their application? Specifically the post interview 24 hour deadline essay! What do you guys make of it?
