The HBS MBA application asks for the three most important extracurricular activities. I work in investment banking and I have several volunteer experiences, I am part of a cycling training team, a hiking group, ran a half-marathon, and had leadership positions in extracurricular activities during the last couple of years of my undergraduate.
Two of my most important activities have already taken a big portion of my essay. Should I still include them in the extracurricular activities section, or use that part of the application to show some of my other activities? In that case would participation in a marathon or being part of a cycling group be counted as an extracurricular activity? Should I focus on more recent activities to show community engagement outside of work or include positions of leadership in undergraduate activities that were 5 years ago?
Thank you
