Sir, I have seen users including myself ( once only

) arbitrary post questions here and there. Often Bunnel or Other moderators/admins have to post "Discussed in this forum..." like that. In this way, each and every question has got several discussion links, which are often retired or still active.

1. Could not we lock users posting here and there ? A drop down lists for all areas can be created when posting topics. Users can post only after selecting desired area.

In simple while posting , topic wise/ area wise selection should be there.

Pardon me if it is already implemented. I am an amateur player here.

Right now You post a new topic within the forum you want it posted. We probably could change it and force everyone posting regardless of the forum to force them to choose a forum. This may force some of the offenders to start posting in the right place but will also require everyone else to choose the forum and have an extra step. We do have about 200 forums by the way, so selecting one from a drop down isn't a super fast and easy choice process.

We do have a moderator process for warning and eventually banning users who are frequent offenders rather than casual confused individuals.... there are a lot more offenses happening by the way, that we control and moderate - tagging, posting questions properly, underlining SC's, etc. Moderators do a lot of work!

Hi bb ,

First of all I would like to thank everyone here for the efforts exerted. GMAT club is a real added value to my studying practices.

I would like to highlight a minor problem that I have faced; I took one of Veritas free practice exams; but I found many questions to be familiar with as I have solved them earlier on GMAT Club, of course, this might have overestimated my score.

I suggest that labels be added to the question bank to differentiate between the CATs questions and the prep questions for each provider; so that we have Veritas prep and Veritas CATs; Kaplan prep and Kaplan CATs, etc..; as it is done for the OG questions and the GMAT prep. I don't try to solve GMAT prep at all, in order to save these questions for my CATs.

Also, some people need to be educated to use these labels properly and not to underestimate their importance, I find many questions with no sources mentioned, I don't solve these questions to make sure I keep GMAT prep questions only for my practice exams.

Please let me know what do you think...

One suggestion is to upload the question without tag if we upload SC questions with tag (ex- SV, Modifier), we'll start looking into the errors directly.

I understand. There are diff needs for diff uses. Many use it to consult explanations that they find incomplete in the book. Others try to find specific question type by tag.
In your case, I would suggest to copy/paste the table into excel and delete the column containing the tags, leaving only links with URL's if you intend to use the directory this way.

I understand. There are diff needs for diff uses. Many use it to consult explanations that they find incomplete in the book. Others try to find specific question type by tag.
In your case, I would suggest to copy/paste the table into excel and delete the tags, leaving only links with URL's if you intend to use the directory this way.

Let me know if it makes sense to add - Veritasprep Mocks as an additional source when someone adds a new question.
At present we do have VeritasPrep which could mean the question is from books / on demand course.
