Pertaining to the three accomplishments essay, what is an acceptable and effective mix?

2 work accomplishments
1 personal

or

1 personal
2 work accomplishments?

Also, I've looked at different rankings for finance programs and gathered this? Would you rank these programs as part of the top 7 finance programs?

1. Wharton
2. Stern
3. Columbia
4. Darden
5. Tepper

Mrmikec,

Two work accomplishments and 1 community is a much better mix to me than 2 community and 1 professional. But you could also have 1 professional, 1 community, and 1 personal. It really depends on what your strongest stories are and what stories you're using in your other essays. But the weight should be toward professional as a general rule.

Definitely, Wharton, Stern, and CBS belong in the top 7 of finance programs, but Darden is more of a general management school and CMU is stronger in operations. Above Darden and CMU I would put Chicago, Stanford, MIT, HBS and a handful of other schools.
