6. What other information do you believe would be helpful to the Board in understanding you better and in considering your application? (400-word limit)
Very similar to last year's #7, this essay is a great place to highlight a side of you or experience not discussed elsewhere in the application. This wild card question is a gift to you from the the kindly folks serving on the HBS adcom so you can show another area in which you shine. And yes, if you can demonstrate leadership, do so. Do not waste in on a summary or closing sales pitch.
You say to not waste essay #6 on a summary or closing sales pitch - would writing a Why HBS is a good fit? or Why I want to attend HBS? essay be too close to a summary?
Thanks in advance for all of the helpful information you always provide.
nichcm03,
No, I don't consider a Why HBS essay to be the kind of summary or closing sales pitch Linda was referring to. As long as you have not already made your Why HBS argument in an earlier essay, then that is a decent subject for this last essay. Just try to personalize it as much as possible (i.e., (a) connect specific HBS resources to your specific needs and (b) demonstrate how you have interacted/networked with the HBS community to get to know the school).
Good luck,
