HELLO EVERYONE

I AM POSTING FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THE FORUM BUT I HAVE FOLLOWED IT FOR EXPLANATION OF MANY ANSWERS AND ALWAYS GIVEN KUDOS.
I AM HOPING TO GET SOME VALUABLE INSIGHTS.
I AM PLANNING TO TAKE MY GMAT EXACTLY A WEEK FROM NOW.
I AM GOING TO GIVE A BRIEF INFORMATION ABOUT MY PREPARATION SO FAR SO THAT YOU ALL CAN GUIDE ME ACCORDINGLY.

CONCEPTS:

PRINCETON REVIEW FULL COURSE
MANHATTAN PDFS ON CR, SC AND RC
GMATCLUB'S QUANT BASICS BOOK

PRACTICE:

OFFICIAL GUIDE 2017
PRINCETON REVIEW'S DRILLS ON THE ONLINE PORTAL
GMAT PREP QUESTION PACK 1 (DID IT AFTER ALL THE FOLLOWING MOCKS)
VERITAS (HAVN'T COMPLETED THE QUESTION BANK YET THOUGH)

I'VE TAKEN THE FOLLOWING MOCKS.

PRINCETON REVIEW: 670(Q33 V44)
VERITAS: 660 (Q50 V33)
GMAT PREP 2: 700 (Q49 V36)
GMAT PREP 6: 670 (Q46 V36)
GMAT PREP 5: 630 (Q44 V33)
GMAT PREP 3: 710 (Q49 V32) (LATEST)

IN THE MIDDLE OF MY PREPARATION, MY SCORES STARTED FALLING OR BEING STUCK IN THE SAME RANGE. THAT REALLY SHATTERED MY CONFIDENCE AND I REACHED A POINT OF FRUSTRATION BECAUSE I WAS WORKING SO HARD AND STILL MAKING (STILL AM) VERY SILLY MISTAKES. BUT SOMEHOW THE LAST MOCK I TOOK WAS AFTER HALF EXAM PACK 1 AND THAT GAVE ME A LITTLE CONFIDENCE.

IN THE COMING WEEK I PLAN TO PRACTICE THE MISTAKES I MADE IN THE QUESTION PACK AND VERITAS DRILLS AND GMAT PREP TESTS AND TAKE AT LEAST 2 MORE MOCKS AND PRACTICE NEW QUESTIONS AS MANY AS I CAN.

IF ANY "MUST SOLVE" RESOURCES ARE RECOMMENDED, PLEASE LET ME KNOW

ALSO I AM AIMING FOR A 700+.

DO YOU GUYS THINK I AM READY?

CAN YOU PLEASE SUGGEST WHAT ELSE CAN I DO?

GMAT QUESTION PACK WAS VERY GOOD PRACTICE. VERBAL IMPROVED A LOT IN TERMS OF ACCURACY AND UNDERSTANDING BUT I STILL MAKE VERY SILLY MISTAKES IN QUANT.

I COULD REALLY USE SOME HELP.
THANK YOU SO MUCH

Okay, so the professional world says writing everything in CAPITAL is a way to command order or show disrespect.

It would have been great if this was well written.

Since you are new, I would prefer you to write properly because the current version is highly difficult and too bossy for someone to read.

Anyways, welcome to our awesome community.

Based on everything I have read above, I think you will get at least a 700 on your test. To begin, you usually gain 20 points on the real test compared to your CATs. That is good news for you, considering you are so close. Further, your GMAT prep average is about 680 (677.5). These are the best, and most accurate, tests on the market.

As for your plateau in scoring, this happens to everyone, myself included. There were times when I couldn't get 2 out 10 SCs correct, despite my ability to score in the 90th + percentile. These dips happen. But you have shown good consistency and it appears you have come out of the plateau/dip and are ready for more progress.

If you feel your last test was a fluke, pound the areas you feel you are weakest. The forum has MANY free resources for quant and verbal, as well as a ton of high quality, high level questions for you to practice.

If you are looking for additional resources, I hear egmat is pretty good. But given the vast amount of resources you have already used, I don't want to encourage you to spend more money.

To conclude, the most important thing is to NOT PANIC. If you do, or you beat yourself up about your scores, you will hurt your progress. Know that you are on the right track, you are, in my opinion, going to get a 700 +, and that you seem to be well prepared. Please do not let a few bumps in the road throw you off!

In my opinion, at this stage don't do anything new. Practice the questions from OG and revise the concepts.
Go through the error log. Review the Gmat prep test questions, even those you have got correct.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR VALUABLE INSIGHT. LIKE YOU SAID, BECAUSE OF THE SCORE PLATEAU/DIP I HAVE A FEELING THAT THE TEST SCORE MIGHT BE A FLUKE AND HENCE I AM NOT SO SURE YET. I PLAN TO PRACTICE ALL MY MISTAKES FROM THE OG AND THE GMAT PREP TESTS AND THE QUESTION PACK AND THEN PRACTICE A FEW AREAS OF QUANT WHERE I AM WEEK.

THANK YOU SO MUCH:)

GOT IT BUT SINCE I AM NOT SO SURE IF MY LAST TEST WAS A ACTUAL REFLECTION OF MY STANDING, TAKING A TEST OR TWO WON'T BE PROBLEMATIC I HOPE?
ALSO ANY TIPS TO WORK ON MY CONFIDENCE?
I GET EXTREMELY ANXIOUS OR TOO CALM THAT I MESS MY TIMING UP.

THANK YOU:)

In that case you can take a test if it boosts your confidence.
More importantly, you must also analyze the test on the timing strategy, strength and weakness and work accordingly in the last week.

I would suggest instead of practicing new questions, just review the old OG, and GMATPREP questions which you have already answered till now and found difficult. Review all the OG questions and GMATPREP question 2-3 times before the test. GMAT questions have a typical pattern and this revisions will help you to identify the answers quickly during the test day. Best of luck!

@souvonik2kThanks but i am also afraid to get a bad score and lose all my confidence :l also sometimes i see continous hard questions in a row even though i know i am making them wrong. And Veritas question bank and tests seem to have questions on the more difficult side for quant. Is it just me or its true? Maybe i am just not prepared enough. Also working on my timing and statregy If've you got any tips, I'd be glad to hear.

Thanks a lot

Hello!
thank you so much :D i am working on this very thing but honestly, so far i dont see a pattern. I always hope i wont see a question i'd be clueless about, but still end up seeing a couple of those.
Have you taken the gmat? how was your experience?
Thanks for the insight :D

To begin, you should never be afraid to fail. Although I understand where you are coming from, it is never a bad idea to get an understanding of where you stand. That being said, you have sufficient proof to know that you are ready to achieve the goal you want. It is, at this point, just about taking the test when you feel ready.

Veritas is tricky. From a verbal standpoint, they are very good, though the difficulty level on both sides is usually not accurate, so you have a point. Your comment about getting the tough questions wrong is interesting. On the whole, when you are getting the tough questions, you are doing something right on a CAT. The forum has a lot of practice questions at the 700-level.

Do not let scores drive you up a wall. Scores fluctuate, regardless of how good you are. I reaffirm what has been said above: review your weak areas, review missed problems, but don't necessarily review new material. You have been doing something right to this point, so I would recommend that you do not change your preparation too much.

One last point: It's not the end of the world if you do not achieve your score. You can take the test over, and over, and over again. The only cost to you being the actual money paid for the test. If you take it and it doesn't go your way, you will live. And you will be smarter as a result of it. Many people take the test multiple times, so you will not be alone on this.

Veritas prep tests are normally harder than the actual GMAT. The correct simulation of the actual exam is by Gmat prep tests only.
You should have confidence as you have scored well in the Gmatprep tests.Refer to the post on timing strategy in Gmatclub. You will find it useful.
Its better not to think about preparedness for the exam at this stage when you have only a few days left.
Be positive and best of luck for your exam. Do share your result.
