Re: Help : LBS vs Ross vs Darden vs Duke vs Stern vs Cornell [#permalink]
If you only had time for 3 applications, I'd recommend Ross/Darden/Duke for consulting.

However, I feel that it's difficult to get the full story on a school until AFTER one is admitted, unless you know current student/recent alumni. So, if you have time to crank out applications for all six schools, I'd go for that route.

All of those schools place well into MC (only one I am not sure about is Stern as I know nothing about the school). You will need to look at other factors including location, which I know you are ambivalent about, class size, culture, etc to differentiate between them.

Since you are from an over represented group, it might be wise to set your sights at the lower ranked schools just because Tuck, Kellogg and Insead are very competitive.

Agree with Blax0r, Ross/Darden/Duke will give you a shot at MBB as well as the other good consulting firms.

Agree with the two folks above me. Ross/Darden/Duke is the clear trio to me given that you're interested in consulting. For what it's worth, I was planning to recruit for consulting when I applied last year and I spent a lot of time researching Ross, Darden, and Fuqua.

This is quite old, but I am interested. Any updates on this topic?
