Thanks a lot jenniferbloom :) I tracked down a few people in both the colleges, and I've been given a lot of info about the programs and the networks. Now my mind is almost made up.. thanks..
I'm glad to hear you are closer to a decision. I'd love to hear your decision and reasoning when you are ready!

I'm choosing the MiM program at ESSEC primarily because it has a campus in Asia, and getting an exposure to the Asian markets is something I really want. From what I heard about ESCP, I learnt that its courses focus mainly on the European markets and more specifically the French markets. Since I am not planning to settle down in Europe in the future, ESCP would not be the wisest choice (even though its ranked higher). Both the schools however have a great alumni network and employment stats, and ESSEC is a better choice for me specifically.

Thanks for sharing what you learned and how it guided your decision. I hope it helps others pursuing paths in France/Europe and Asia as well!

Hi Manubharath,
I'm glad you reached a decision. I will actually be attending ESCP Europe in Paris for my MIM as of this August. I have some questions regarding coursework/load/registration, etc., so I was wondering how did you manage to track down ESCP students to talk to while making your decision? I would really like to talk to some current/former students, so if you can help at all I would really appreciate it. Please let me know. Thank you!!

Most programs are happy to put you in touch with a few "ambassadors," plus you can often find contact information online through club websites and activities. Finally, I also find LinkedIn (and other similar networking sites) offer great search tools that help you find potential new contacts within each program.

Well this is coming as a really late reply, but hope this answer will be able to help other applicants suffering the same dilemma.
I am a student stuyding at ESCP currently so i think i am well equipped to answer the questions:

Well both ESCP and ESSEC are excellent schools and have a excellent reputation in France as 2 of the 3 "Haut ecoles" (HEC being the 3rd one). Their MiM program is really excellent in both schools and they rank really high for it. ( It varies year by year but they are mostly in the top 7)

Well both schools are very similar with respect to curriculum and teachings, but the advantages of each would be:

ESCP would give you access a strong alumni network in France and UK, 5 campuses spread over 5 major countries, Central location in Paris which gives you access to a lot of local company events, a large scholarship fund- it really offers a lot more scholarships compared to ESSEC and a very European centric education. It is a good choice if you plan to settle in Europe for the near future.

ESSEC on the other hand has really good exchange programs, a large campus, a growing network & campus in Asia, good apprenticeship contracts & a more global approach to studies. You can do one year at the Singapore campus and the rest in France. So that is really interesting when one is interested in the Asian markets. (Which is a really good thing as the world is moving towards the east, and the asian markets are defining the future)

There are ofcourse many other differences, but these are a few i can name from the top of my head.
I got chosen for both ESCP and ESSEC but chose ESCP mainly because they offered me a good scholarship.

Hope the answer helped.
