hi all! once of my recommenders submitted his rec and noticed an error. is there any way to have them make an edit? the error is pretty serious — says my startup was acquired which it wasn’t. any ideas what to do or if it’s possible to edit? thanks

Has the application been already submitted, if so then you are probably out of luck, because unless you waived your right to not being able to see you recommendation, if you reach out it may clue them into you having some input into your Reco if your application has not been submitted, then maybe the school may have some flexibility into unlocking the submission, but this will largely depend on the program. Having them put a call into admissions may be your best options if it is clear they can’t edit themselves. I think also this is not as terrible of an error as you may think. Admissions will probably just assume the recommender is confused
