Consider checking out Manhattan-Prep's 6th Edition for SC and leveraging your error-log to locate the types of SCs you get wrong.

Target Score: 750+ V42+ Q50
Please let me know your thoughts and suggestions.

If a person is already at a V38/39, it's probably fair to say they likely already have a strong grasp of the fundamentals. Trying to work on your solving approach may be helpful, making the way you go through the section more efficient. This sort of learning can be helpful whether you are at a V31 or V41.

How to get a V40 or higher on the GMAT? What about a V51?

Hi Amar.

To get to your quant score goal, you have to work on any weaker areas you have and also improve overall accuracy. To work on a weaker area of quant, first review the relevant concepts and then do dozens of practice questions from that area until you are getting them correct consistently. To develop skill, practice untimed at first and then work the time per question down.

Your ESRs indicate that you have to work on Value/Order/Factors quant questions. You can find out what types of questions those are by going to this page. https://www.mba.com/exams-and-exam-prep ... lls-Groups

Also, for some ideas that you can use to improve overall accuracy, see this post. Improving Your Accuracy on the GMAT

Regarding SC, since your ESR indicates that you you've been missing Grammar SC questions, probably you have to learn more SC concepts. If it's the case that you do, then find a good SC prep resource and fill any knowledge gaps you have.

Then, practice SC using the approaches discussed in this post. Three Key Practice Tips for Mastering GMAT Verbal

You could also get some key SC tips from this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NgKmp_BzoFo

Hi Rich,

Thanks for your reply !

I did apply to 5 B Schools during R1 and R2 for the 2022 intake. However, I was rejected by all of them.

LBS - Ding without interview
Cornell - Ding without interview
Columbia - Ding without interview
Tuck - Ding with interview
Darden - Ding without interview

I did get on a call with Tuck Admissions for feedback for my rejection and one of the reasons mentioned was my GMAT score which was below class average and also the average for Indian students at Tuck.

Hence, I want to re take the GMAT and improve on my score.

Profile details:
1. Indian Chartered Accountant, CFA Level 3 Candidate
2. Work ex - PwC 4 years in two different departments. Post that started my own consulting firm from scratch.
3. Extra Currics - Long Distance Cycling (completed Manali to Khardungla, one of the most difficult cycling adventures in India). Volunteer and advisor to a small NGO in Pune. Cricket in India and abroad for a club.

Best Regards,
Amar

Hi Amar,

First off, your prior 720/Q50 is already an outstanding Score, so you can comfortably apply to any Business Schools that interest you (and if you were to be rejected, then it's highly unlikely that your GMAT Score would be the primary reason why). As such, another retest is probably not necessary. In your prior posts (in 2021), it appeared that you were planning to apply to Business School in Round 1 or Round 2 last year. Did you apply at that time - and what were the results?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich
