Education: BS in Electronics Engg from India (not an IIT) ~ 72%
MS in EE from US Univ ~ 3.45
GMAT: 730 Q50(97%);V38(85%)
Work Ex: 4.5 year at time of applying as Hardware Engg at Intel. Lead design and validation teams for a year now. team distributed across US and also in B'lore and Malaysia. Changed groups once and can get recos from current manager and previous manager.
Extra curricular: Cultural Secy of Univ at Undergrad. Won Best in Extra Curricular for Graduating class.
Represented Univ and later Intel in Table Tennis.
Ranked 35 in AZ state for Table Tennis.
Community Service: Involved with organization helping educational programs for under-previlaged kids in India for the last 7-8 months.
MBA plans: want to do finance. 5 years at an IB firm after graduation followed by 5-7 years at Private Equity firm. Then start my own VC or join a VC in India. I know which specific firms I want to join (if possible) and stuff but that will make this too long.
Schools planning to apply to : MIT, Haas, GSB Chicago, Kellogg, Darden, NYU and UCLA.
