Hi Paul/others,
Well Canada and US have different economies and I guess the general pereception is to head to US cause maybe canadians too strive for that.
For me most important fact would be that I would want a secure job post graduation which I think would be easier in Canada(work permit rules are easier i suppose). I feel there is a negative air in US about the companies sponsoring H1 for International students and I really need someone to convince me otherwise.I'd personally prefer US as it would give me more options later on in life but dont want to wind up with a not so satisfactory first job.
I hope coming out of mid west would not bring out more disadvantages.
Here is what I feel where two school stands:
Tippie : Internship opportunities
Schulich : No (its 16 month course..back to back terms)
Tippie : Location (Mid west ..now everyone wants to be in Big towns I feel)
Schulich :Location (Toronto..financial hub of Canada)
Tippie : Recruiting companies ( I dont see many major financial firms, from what I know there are more of Insurance companies..I want to know how well placed would a Finance MBA be in an Insurance firm)
Schulich : Recruiting companies (major financial firms)
Tippie : Avg Sal 75k (USD)
Schulich : Avg Sal 75k(CSD)
Phew ! I guess thats all I have to add unless there are some stellar points anyone can come up with in favour of either of 'em.
Paul and others Please respond.
Thanks
Hansy
