Hi Paul,
I am applying for B-school and have a quick question regarding my grades.

Background: I am a CPA but in order to get your license you have to have 150 semester units. I graduated my 4-year university with 142 units and had to go back to a city college to get my last 8 units. I took only online classes and the sole reason for taking these classes was to get my CPA license. The grades in my 3 city college classes were Pass, C, C.

I had a 3.4 GPA at my 4-year university. Are my city college grades going to hurt me? How do I address this issue? Thank you for your time.

Bluepic,

No, I see no downside here at all. You had enough credits to satisfy your college's requirements for a bachelor's, but the CPA requires more so you went back and did them online. No big deal. The only negative is that your grades in the online courses were mediocre. But if your GMAT score is high (700 plus), you'll be fine. This is just not something B-schools will give you a hard time about.

Good luck,
