Hello,
I am new to the GMAT Club and I searched through previous discussions, but was unable to find the answer to my question.
I had a relatively low GPA in undergrad 2.97. Worked throughout college to pay for school as well as have pay for rent (lack of on campus housing forced me to live off campus). I took three online summer school courses at a community college to ensure I graduate on time - 2B's & a C = 2.67
Anyways, I'm going to be taking a Calculus and Accounting class at a community college to enhance my academic profile. The question I'm asking is will admissions take all of my classes taken at each school and divide the quality of points with the GPA credits to calculate my GPA? In this case, my total GPA would be a 3.17 and if I do well in the two additional courses, it could be slightly higher. Or will they instead be viewed as "2.97 here, 2.67 here, etc?"
I have not taken my GMAT yet, I am just trying to see where I stand GPA wise as I decide what schools I should apply to. Thank you for all future responses
P.S. I am taking classes at the community college because those two classes are offered in winter 8 week courses, giving me enough time to submit applications for Fall 2013 Admissions. Otherwise I would do it at a 4 year college.
