Hey guys,
just want an opinion on some of your experiences. How does b schools view courses that have been retaken. Do they average the two courses, or look at the higher mark? I did realllyyy poorly on some courses during 1st year and want to redo a few of them...will this help me at all...i did poorly on them because i did not put too much work into them, not because i could not physically do them...
i obviously improved SO much over the next 3 years however, id like to redeem some of those lower marks through a distance education platform. What do you guys think...
thanks in advance!!
Hi there, IMHO you should first consider how important/relevant are theses courses to the profile you want to build for yourself and the career path you want to pursue. Secondly, are you confident you could get excellent grades at the more advanced courses of the same discipline, thereby demonstrating that not only was the first year grade a accidental screw up, but also that your are tangibly good in that discipline? Thirdly, if you already have your diploma (you did three more years of education since, right?) If you single out some first year course by getting somehow a recognition of leve, you might send the wrong message...
I could probably help you think it through if you tell me more about the context (degree, course, academic results since, career orientation...)
Regards,
A.C.
