How do fellowships factor in to MBA recruiting?

This isn't something I ever thought about before, but I've seen a couple of posts about it, so I figured I would just ask.
How do scholarships/fellowships factor in to recruiting once you start an MBA program? I always thought that any money you can get from your school is a nice-to-have, obviously helps relieve the debt burdon, and can maybe make a difference in what career path you follow, but beyond that I didn't think it had any effect. I've seen some posts thought that seem to imply that a fellowship will make you more attractive to recruiters and might get you an interview that you otherwise wouldn't get. Is fellowship information something that goes on your resume? Is it shared with recruiters in some other way?
