I actually don't think the MiF would hurt your chances of admission for the MBA as long as you explain clearly what the MBA gives you that the MiF does not. I agree that if you state that your post-MBA goal is finance they may wonder why you need an MBA if you already have an MiF. To get around this you may want to tweak the goals you describe for the B-schools--such as you want to go into management roles in the finance industry or venture capital, so finance skills alone aren't enough, or your post-MBA goal is not in finance at all, for example, entrepreneurship etc. As long as the post-MBA goal is one that requires more than technical finance skills, the schools will be open to the idea that you also need the MBA.
