My initial reaction was to say that you should not retake. However, no one knows how IR will be judged 2 years from now. Since the section is so new, there's not much historical data. Nevertheless, I don't think you need to retake just for a lower IR score.

I 100% agree with your decision. A 740 is an UHmazing score! You don't want to risk a lower score. No need to spend $250 and lots of your time.

Your score report just occupy one rows in your CV. Moreover, IR is just new section of GMAT score in recent years. So, I don't think you should retake. You have to wait more 31 days to retake again. I think you should spend more time on dumping yourself in researching, writing essay and preparing for your application.
