Hi Linda,
I just took my GMAT and got a 680 (90th percentile) - VERY disappointed since I had been getting around 730 regularly (over my last 5-7 practice tests).
I have a 3.7 from Indiana U. 4 years (until now) work experience as an I-Banker (bulge-braket 2 years and boutique 2 years) in New York. I have good recommenders including a well-regarded HBS professor.
I am targeting the following schools:
HBS, Stanford, Wharton, Kellogg and Chicago.
Should I retake the GMAT or do I not improve my chances significantly with a higher score?

You're on the cusp. If you can handle the possibility of having the reapply next year, go ahead and apply with your current score, given all the other great factors in your application. If you can't handle the possibillity of reapplication and really want to go in September 2006, then raise your GMAT.

Do you think with my current profile (assuming I do not score better than 680 next time around), I have a good shot at: Columbia, Datrmouth, MIT, Michigan, Duke?
