Assuming a) means ap Chem then the answer is C because you have your equation in b but need the total amount from a.

2x + x = 96
X = 32

Hi,

the only thing comes to me is that there is 'chemistry' in statement 1 & 'AP chemistry' in statement 2. So there is 2 types.
