1) I studied for a month
2) I've used a mixture of Veritas Prep and GMAT Official Guides
3) Official GMAT
4) 710 was highest on practice scores from all CATs
5) Planning to apply by Round 3 this year

Hi smba999,

Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long have you studied?
2) What materials have you used?
3) Is this 710 from a practice CAT or from the Official GMAT?
4) If it's from a practice CAT, then how have you scored on each of your CATs (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores)?

Goals:
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
6) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

Is there any reason to apply in the round3?
In my opinion, you would have much better chance if you decide to wait until R1.

Hi smba999,

First off, a 710/Q48 is an outstanding score (it's right around the 90th percentile overall), so you can apply to any Business Schools that interest you. As such, a retest is likely not necessary. Since you're planning to apply for the upcoming Round 3 deadlines, you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile. There's a Forum full of them here:
