Hello guys,

I took the cold officials GMAT Test 1 today. I had the following break up - Q49, V41 and a total of 740.

While I have a GRE of 330 which is the equivalent of a 750, I am planning on the GMAT too since I feel it would be better for a scholarship from my target schools (am I right in thinking so?).

Verbal - I have studied hard for the LSAT and the GMAT verbal was more manageable. I feel I can increase from 41 to 42-43 but beyond that would be tough. I feel I would do some practice questions. Completed with a minute or two remaining.

Quant - GRE quant was way easier and I got the top score without preparation. GMAT quant wasn't tough per se but the last time I studied anything related to math was way back in 2011. So I need to brush up the math and the speed too. I left one question, in fact.

In view of the foregoing, please suggest some good (cheap or free) resources to beef up the quant in the next 3-4 weeks.

Would be great if you could suggest any resource for a couple of free tests as well.

I plan to take my date somewhere in the last week of June.

Look forward to receiving your inputs. Thanks a lot!

Hi SomnathS ,
Since you have already scored a 740 - with Q49 in practice test, you are a pretty good shape in quant. You can solve questions from Bunuel's signature and try GMAT Club tests for additional practice.
You can also refer to Veritas or Manhattan guides for Quant in case you want to revise concepts .

Hi

Only practice 700-800 level questions
more and more practice, meet the pace of GMAT
make an error log and note your mistakes while practicing
review each of your wrong question practice again the questions you got wrong
Take CATs (5-7)
review your result know your mistakes and try to solve them
sleep well night before the test

Good Luck

Here are a couple of things you can do..

1. Buy OG and practice questions there.

2. Identify your weak areas and practice them on gmatclub.
