Hi

I am planning to give my GMAT exam by the end of next month. However, I am noticing that I am taking a lot of time in SC questions. Though my accuracy in these questions is about 75%, I am taking almost 2- 2.30 mins in SC.

Is there a strategy I can stick to in order to reduce my overall time in SC questions?

I will have my two cents here.
I had the same problem. And now a days, NOT only my accuracy is increased from 75% to 90% but also reduced my average timing for SC questions to one minute and forty seconds. Some questions do take over two and half minute though. And that should be fine - objective is to reduce average time per question and not time per question.

I got my answer(learned somewhere here)- very much on this great forum (thanks to bb and team for building such great forum) - dont remember exactly the post or video (probably its one of GMATNinja video - you can search on youtube)

If I can summarize the learning, it was something like:
Do we need time to calculate say 20+100 or 200+500 or say 30*60..? Because we have learnt that. So once you master certain skill and practice it enough, timing is automatically reduced.

Hope this helps.

Yes, there is a strategy that will reduce your overall time in SC questions. I describe it briefly in this video, and will have a free 1-hour YouTube Live event on it 9 days from now. You can set your reminder at https://www.youtube.com/quantreasoning/live
