I would go with A.

B, C, D needs "that" at the end.

E - the passage seems to have two contrasting ideas(?) and E is not contrasting...

much is modifying agree... agree is uncountable...

A is the best.

that is required for parallelism.
E changes the meaning of the original sentence.

I agree with you - I went with E - however it does not end with THAT so it cannot be parallel - so A is best answer even though it sounds funny.
