Hi Everyone! 
In my last post, I talked about how I went from 310 to 700 in 6 months (it's a brief synthesis of my experience which should give you some motivation)!
I'm going to share you my profile because I got accepted to top 10 MIM schools (QS and FT rank schools) with a 610 GMAT.
I have been obsessed with profile evaluation, comparing my profile with others, and seeing people who almost saved an entire country during their volunteering (I am exaggerating), so I thought I would never be accepted and even less with a 610 score!
First: This my own rank of those MIM, considering my point of view, my visions of the prestige, of the programs curriculum, opportunities and all the others things that I have learned during all those months of research. (I also take into account the renown of the school in general ranks such as business topics rank and general b-school rank) don't hesitate to tell me your opinion about it:
1. HEC Paris (Grande Ecole)
2. London Business School (MIM)
3. Bocconi (International Management)
4. ESSEC (Grande Ecole)
5. St Gallen (SIM)
6. ESCP (Grande Ecole)
and then you have a mixed list with ESADE, LSE, IE, CBS, RSM, EDHEC, EMLyon, SSE...
So I've got accepted to some of those schools (and yes at least half schools in my top 6)
I just want you to know that your profile could also be accepted with 600-640 GMAT. It is not because I have been accepted and that because you haven't set a start-up or whatever else that you won't be accepted! We don't know if a profile seeming less outstanding would be accepted, so it is always possible (and honestly if you look a the profile evaluation topics, there are hundreds of better profiles than mine with 700+ gmat). Therefore only believe that you have your chance and nothing else!
Albanian/French, 20 yo, from a poor immigrants family and lived without father.
Double Degree 3 year Bachelor:
- BSc Management in France -> #2 Best 3-year french Bachelor in FR. Elected as Best B-S Student, GPA 4/4. Scholarships..
- BSc International Business Administration in Germany -> #3 Best 3-year Bachelor in GER. Currently there for my third year so no GPA.
- Exchange Semester in above-average US Uni -> GPA 4/4
Work ex:
No big brands, 6 months of internship in total in FR and abroad with impacts made and positions with team management and high responsibilities.
Future summer internship at Deloitte (not stated during the application).
Start-ups (the "plus value" part):
- Set up my first start-up at 18 in France, integrated #8 best incubator of France, thousands of customers and thousands raised from business angel
- Set up a second one in the US during my exchange, had few clients but closed it because of covid.
- Set up another one in Albania, works perfectly, 5 employees, some big brand clients, fast evolution
Extras:
A lot of leaderships positions inside and outside universities (vice-president of associations, etc.) with thousands€ of budget.
Some sport with regional prizes
A bunch of volunteering for the Albanian community
A bunch of prizes, selection to business competitions, etc.
This is an extremely compact view of my profile! Hope it will help to have a vision of which type of profile could be accepted with a 610 GMAT.
And do not forget that if my profile has been accepted it doesn't say that a less outstanding profile couldn't be accepted. On the contrary, it gives hope that everyone can reach their target.
