I received a GED, How do I fill out the questions about HS?

Hello,

I'm applying to Stanford GSB
What is your advice to complete the application regarding high school?

I went to three high schools in Texas and then got my GED at 17. 
Freshman = random public HS
Sophomore = new public HS in same district and I was moved because of the new boundary lines
Junior = accepted to a boarding or charter school for math and science

The application asks for institution name, location, dates attended. I really don't know what they want.

Why did you get a GED instead of a diploma?

to get out of high school. I was only taking college courses at the boarding school but the program requirements to contain and protect 400 juniors and seniors was too confining and I left. So there was no reason to go back to HS so I got my GED.

You should put the schools that you attended and add a note explaining the situation, potentially in the optional space. If you can fit them all in there, then do that. Its best to be complete with all of your information.

For the Stanford GSB application, list each high school you attended in the order you went, along with accurate dates and locations even if you transferred due to boundary changes.

If you received a GED, you can indicate "GED" or "General Educational Development" in place of high school on forms asking about your education. For the school name, you can write "GED Program" or the name of the institution where you took the test. Always answer truthfully and clearly.
