Hello people,
First, thank you very much to all of you who keep up running this forum. I'm sure it is a great source of help for most of us who attempted to challenge this damn exam!
Here is my background and my GMAT experience so far:
I'm French (26 years old). I'm an IT engineer based in Singapore where i live for more than three years now. I worked on a day to day basis with many people across asia. I previously worked three years in France in part time during which i completed my Master in Network/Telecom. I want to get a MBA in order to re-orient my career more towards a management role, get a better salary, and ... get rid of the label "nerd" that comes with my professional experience
.
I prepared the GMAT for more than 2 months. I worked on it around 2 hours a day, 4 to 5 days a week (mainly during and afterwork).
I mainly used the Princeton Review (crack the Gmat), the
OG and the MG Prep
Manhattan GMAT.
I scored 580, 41 Math - 27 Verbal. As expected, I had a tough time with the Verbal part! Yes, Gmat is really not really easy for non-native English speaker!
I'm thinking about getting a test preparation course (3,5 hours x 10) as I'm not sure how to improve the verbal part by myself. However this is not cheap (1200 USD), so i wanted to know if this is a good idea, if anybody attempt such courses, if this would be enough to get a 650+, etc...
Thank you for reading me !
