Need help in solution.

One piece of pepperoni slice has surface area of $$\pi * (\frac{1}{2})^2 = \frac{\pi}{4}$$
So 20 slides has surface area of $$20 * \frac{\pi}{4} = 5 * \pi$$

Area of whole pizza is $$\pi * 7^2$$
Fraction covered = $$\frac{{5 *\pi }}{{\pi * 49}} = \frac{5}{49}$$

If 20 circular pepperoni slices each with a 1 inch-diameter =>
No. of slices =20, r = 0.5 =1/2 => Area = 20* pi* (1/2)^2 =5*pi

cover a circular pizza pie with diameter 14 inches, =>
r of pizza = 7 , Area =pi* 7^2 = 49*pi

what fraction of the pizza is covered with pepperoni slices = \frac{5*pi}{49*pi) = \frac{5}{49}
