Re: If the mean of integers E and F is G, what is the mean of E, F, and H? [#permalink]

If the mean of integers E and F is G, what is the mean of E, F, and H?

A. (G + H)/2
B. (G + H)/3
C. (E + F + H)/(G - 3)
D. G(E + F + H)/2
E. (2G + H)/3

Solution:
(E+F)/2 =G ==> E+F = 2G

Mean of E, F, and H = (E + F + H)/3
But E+F = 2G
Therefore, Mean of E,F, and H = (2G + H)/3

Option E
