If x is positive, is x > 3 ?

(1) (x - 1)^2 > 4
(2) (x - 2)^2 > 9

I thought
1) x>0 or x>3
2) x>5 or x>-1 so E, but OA is D. Could anyone explain? Thanks!

(1) Sufficient

For positive x:
(x-1)^2 > 4
x-1 > 2
x > 3

(2) Sufficient

For positive x:
(x-2)^2 > 9
x-2 > 3
x > 5

(x - 1)^2 - 2^2>0
(x-1-2) (x-1+2)>0
(x-3)(x+1)>0

x>3
and x>-1 (X is positive.. so this solution is not feasible)

(2) (x - 2)^2 > 9
(x-5)(x+1)>0
x>5 ---sufficient
and x>-1 (X is positive.. so this solution is not feasible)
