If y = 3x, then the value of 10% of y is

(A) 0.003x
(B) 0.3x
(C) 3x
(D) 30x
(E) 300x

Let \(x = 100\) ; So \(y = 300\)

10% of y is = 30

Now, 30 is \(\frac{30}{100}\) = > \(0.3x\)

Thus, answer must be (B) 0.3x

Hence, the correct answer must be (B) \(0.3x\)
