I'm not sure how much I should pay heed to this issue now since it has already taken up too much of my time and energy. I just had to get an answer because it was a mess up on their end but now their answer doesn't really seem to change the situation much and I feel like I should focus on other things. Is there anything else I can do now?
Hi ab020596,
I wouldn't cancel that 690 if I were you. Firstly, that's a good score. Secondly, "T" isn't limited to issues with Pearson. The GMAT handbook says the following about T:
Quote:
• Administrative errors
• Registration or payment errors
• Inadvertent access to or disclosure of test content
• Disruptions at the test center that were out of the test taker’s control
• Other testing circumstances leading to the questionable validity of scores
It's the last one that's a little iffy. Here's what the GMAT Online policy document says about T:
Quote:
Testing Issues - "T"Reasons scores are cancelled due to a Testing Issue include the following subcategories: Testing Error or a Testing Irregularity. Both types of Testing Issue will be noted on the Official Score Report as a T. Testing Issues refer to events that affect the administration of an exam. When Testing Issues occur, they may affect you or multiple test takers.
Reasons scores are cancelled due to a Testing Error include:
• Administrative or technical errors
• Registrations or payment errors
• Possible exposure (accidental) you may have had to test content
• Disruptions during your exam due to power outage or internet connectivity
Reasons scores are cancelled due to a Testing Irregularity include:
• An incident or pattern that causes us to question the validity of your scores
• Unusual answer patterns
• Unusual score changes
• Inconsistent performance on different parts of the exam
To be clear, I don't think your target programs will consider a T attempt a problem. It's just that I don't think it's going to help you in any way.
All the best for the retake.
