HI Vivek,
Test Day is a specific "event", which you can train for, but you have to make your practice CATs 'match up' with Test Day in as many ways as you can realistically handle. Skipping sections and taking the CAT at home are NOT realistic options on Test Day, so you really have to make adjustments to that process so that your practice matches up and you properly train.
Your Scaled Scores show that you have a decent opportunity to pick up points in BOTH the Quant and Verbal sections. Those scores also show that you're fairly consistent in how you handle the GMAT, which means that you do some things consistently well and other things consistently poorly - all of this hints that you have developed some 'bad habits.' You'll need some time to get out of those bad habits (and into new 'good habits').
I think that the EMPOWERgmat Total Score Booster would help you considerably. Most of our clients complete that Study Plan in well under 2 months, so the time commitment wouldn't be that bad. We have a variety of free resources on our site (
www.empowergmat.com), so you can 'test out' the Course before setting up an account.
If you have any additional questions, then you can feel free to contact me directly.
