Hi!
Please help evaluate my profile and shortlist some schools for me.
Background:
Indian
Female
24 years old (at present, will be 25 at matriculation)
GMAT:
770 (Q50, V45)
Education:
NIFT Delhi
Fashion Technology
CGPA : 6.8
Work Experience:
2 years as of date(will be 3 at matriculation)
Working as an Assistant Merchandiser in an apparel buying liaison office. Involves coordinating with buyers in the parent company and vendors located across South and South East Asia - cost negotiations, design aesthetics and production follow ups.
Freelance Work Experience:
Worked as a Freelance fashion Reviewer & Critic for Wills India Fashion Week and also various online publications.
Worked in All India Radio in various capacities for the past 20 years (started out in their "Shishu Mahal" )
Post MBA Goals:
To continue in my current industry in a business development or marketing role.
Target(or should I say "dream") Schools:
Any of the M7 schools, LBS, INSEAD, NUS, ISB (Not sure if my profile will help me get into any of them, but here's hoping
)

Thanks for posting! First off - a-muh-azing GMAT! Well done!! You're going to make a lot of people jealous with a score like that!
Let's get the basics out of the way - you have decent academics, a fantastic GMAT, and the start to good industry based experience. Your involvement isn't exactly amazing but it's goal / industry focused so I like that. I also like your goals - staying in fashion can make your story a lot stronger versus wanting to make a complete shift.
However, you're a bit young in terms of experience. So a question for you is why an MBA now? Are you done growing where you are? Is another year of experience (so a 4th year if you apply next year) not going to substantially grow your profile? The schools you have listed, for the most part, aren't joking around when it comes to profiles. Do you think, based on your experiences to date, you can significantly set yourself apart yet? If the answer is yes, then go for it! If it isn't, you can still apply but you might need to prepare for a reapplicant strategy in parallel.
From a school perspective - why isn't HEC Paris on your list? They are ALL ABOUT fashion. What about Stern & Columbia? It seems you might want to stay in Europe & Asia which is fine. If you're open to the US, there are other schools to consider.
I know this wasn't a lengthy response to your post but it wasn't meant to be. I have some questions for you before we get into the details

Experience - I know my experience isn't stellar as of now, not in terms of the number of years and not in terms of the work I have been doing. I am open to waiting an year and applying next year if I don't get into any of my target schools. But I definitely want to apply this year - I am motivated right now and very much into it.
Schools - I am open to US, actually it is on the top of my list. M7 is in my target list and I thought it includes HBS, Stanford, Kellogg, MIT, Wharton, Booth and Columbia(correct me if I am wrong). And I have sent my scores to Stern. I would ideally like to apply to 5-6 schools from a mix of US and Europe and either one of NUS and ISB. Also, would like to mix up dream schools and more achievable schools.
HEC Paris is not on my list as I think MBA is a one time opportunity and I want to broaden my horizons and go to a stellar school and not be limited by studying in a fashion centric school - this is just my perspective, let me know what you think.
