The words "pre-selection" are used in all of the interview invites. Curious phrasology, but, the answer to your question is, yes.

Its a good practice, some thing you would have to do religiously when you get on to the job search

AlnoeandInsufficient, sorry to hear about your ding. You have an incredible profile. I'd imagine it was your age that was the deciding factor. I've read in a few places that INSEAD has an unofficial hard cut-off of 34. They apparently encourage applicants older than that to apply for the EMBA program. Not sure if they communicated anything like that to you -but have you given that any thought? It's more expensive, and 12 months instead of 10, but it looks like a great program for someone with your accomplishments, and if it's of interest, it also opens up the Abu Dhabi campus as an option. Just some thoughts.

AloneAndInsufficient, I do agree that EMBA might be a better option for you...your experience is so rich that the MBA may not be able to keep you happy...i suspect that's where the dinge comes from.

In that sense, you can have mine too coz the EMBA requires a lower GMAT score than the MBA does! Let's swap :D

AloneandInsuffcient, based on the differences between MBA & EMBA students I heard in my SGP campus visit, your profile does seem to fit the EMBA program better.

And you can't be right about being too ugly -- Marie Luce's June e-mail to me would have said, "We've shredded your application. Reapply when you've changed your face" instead of "Your application has been received" :wink:

As far as I understand in their sup doc I can apply for R3 (just submit new score) or Sept 2011 (€200, new GMAT score, essay no.7 and language test result if applicable should it be expired by resubmission date) intake without writing everything again if i reapply within 6 months.

Don't think i can crash their R2 anymore...
